I had most of the windows in my 4-bedroom colonial expanded and replaced with Kolbe Ultra Series windows several years ago. I've been very pleased with them through the years. The interior wood, exterior aluminum cladding, and insect screens all remain in good shape. The locking and lift mechanisms still operate without a hitch. The only issue I can say I have with them is that the sashes are heavy, requiring two people to clean them. But that goes for all wood windows.
