Much better than traditional braces - and they do the job very well. I noticed myself speaking with a slight lisp with them in, but nobody else did. Visually, when worn, they are practically undetectable. I had a dentist do mine, which proved much cheaper than an orthodontist. On the negative side, I'm wary of having to replace my final retainer set every few years because of build-up and warping. That smells like bull to me.
